Friday night, glass of wine and dreams of travel.
Thank you to Esther Paddon.
How many of us re thought how to travel, how to pack, even where to go to.
Yes, I've even looked at my dreams of travel. She was an inspirational speaker, her passion to meet the "real people", to see the "real communities" of the lands she visited has made me rethink what travel is.
As I try to settle into this challenging roll I am again and again reminded of the fellowship strength our club has.
It's so good to see hear Russell Dockrill has settled back into Timaru (even if it's in hospital). To hear of the wonderful support both him and Margret have been given is amazing.
The strength of friendship and fellowship is the backbone of any Rotary Club. We have that in bucket loads.
Tuesday night will see Jess talk to us about "Own Job Talk" This will be both interesting and educational.
Have a fun week
PS I am travelling to Auckland for a weekend soon and looking at small backpack only, challenging as how will I get four pairs of shoes inππ
