President Peter's Message

This is my last entry as President. When I first mentioned it to Gilly, she created a space on the bulletin website for me to write it called "Peter's Pennysworth" Lionel has suggested "Andrea's Antics" for the next year! The feedback from people who have missed a meeting or two or have been on a long holiday has been very positive. Looking forward to the changeover and welcoming Andrea as our new President.

Own Job Talk.

And Now a Message from our Incoming President.

Changeover has rapidly approached.
The "learning curve" of the role is huge.
However it has come to me at a time when I need the challenge.
I felt the sense of family and unity for myself from all my fellow Rotarians.
I know that as the Rotarian family we are.
The support and fellowship that I received can be spread far and wide across all communities for the benefit of others.

I put it to all members who haven't taken on a role in Rotary to really think about it. Think about what you can learn and also the sense of satisfaction you will achieve from getting to help even more people.
Never feel as if you cannot do a role; the support from our fellow Rotarians is immense.

To Peter and his Team, WOW what a year to follow. The committee have done amazing work, with lots of wonderful projects successfully achieved, and new ideas looked at and followed through with.
My challenge is to continue "Rolling Forward" to continue the great work already achieved.

June the 19th Beach Party
Bring along cans for the food banks
The extra $10 for Foundation.
But most of all bring along your laughter and fellowship.

Guess Who Is Coming To Dinner.

24 members and partners enjoyed dinners hosted by Ann & Bruce Wilson, Bev &
Adriaan Slooten, Dick and Denise Johnston and Gilly Oppenheim.  The winning

Club Development Seminar

OUR GOAL IS TO HAVE EVERY CLUB'S PRESIDENT, PRESIDENT ELECT AND NOMINEE plus the person responsible for CLUB MEMBERSHIP and DEVELOPMENT as a minimum.

We are bringing MARK HUDDELSTONE the author of "CREATURES of HABIT" (a book about the membership issues facing Rotary Club's) from the Rotary Club of Seaford, in Adelaide. He is very much worth listening to!
