Another two busy weeks for the club. We really do a lot in and for the community.

Last meeting with Philip Brownie showed what can happen when people work together, creating the most amazing green areas. This hard work will improve the bird life in the district and flows on from our traps and cameras, I have noticed more Tui, in my garden, others have had wood pigeons visiting. 

How good do those seats at Jack’s Point walkway look. They will be a great asset and make walking the track easier for those who may not be as fit, or may have a disability that prevents them walking the full distance. What a massive effort. Thanks to everyone who helped along the way. 

The wood project has been busy with more deliveries and gathering more wood to process.

Included in this newsletter is part of the bill we received from Branded Kiwi. So great to read. Such a wonderful surprise to have the caravan makeover done for free. Remember these guys when you need signage etc done. 

At this weeks meeting we will hear from Ralph and Margret giving  us their “own job talk. These are always great to listen too, and will help us to learn more about our new members.

I must admit it was quite strange to edit this bulletin today having some things the same but others totally different. Personally I like the new vertical menu rather than the old horizontal strip. What are your thoughts?

Signage Revamp

 

As you will all be aware (or most of you), via our Social Media, and spotting our Hot Dog Van out in action at community events, it has received a makeover, with a signage refresh completed by Branded Kiwi, a local Signwriting company, and it looks absolutely amazing. 

The team at Branded Kiwi did an incredible job with the rebranding, we are incredibly proud of it, and we were absolutely blown away when we received the following from them recently. 

Project completed with 100% No Charge to the Rotary Club of Timaru in full recognition and support of the years of community contributions, sponsorship, fundraising, and voluntary commitments by all past and current members of the Rotary Club of Timaru within our own region, and as a worldwide organisation.
It has been an absolute pleasure of each of our Branded Kiwi staff and management to provide our local services towards this project, and 'pay-it-forward' for everything each outstanding Rotary member has provided to our wonderful region and further afield over many years and continue to do so.

So we say a HUGE THANK YOU to the team at Branded Kiwi.  Because of their generosity, our Club doesn’t have to spend thousands on a revamp, and we can now put those funds straight back into supporting our local community and causes/projects that need a helping hand.  Their kindness will make a real difference, and the impact of their gift will be felt well beyond the caravan itself.

Congratulations to our club for being finalists in the SC Chamber Business Awards- Supporting Local & People's Choice categories, for The Timaru Christmas Parade Trust. 
 
Special mention to Jess and Lynette who represent our club on the Trust, organising and attending meetings throughout the year and organise the rest of the club for Parade Day and Christmas Lights action.
