As I have mentioned, we now have a template for our new Constitution and other supporting documents that are required by the new Incorporated Societies Act of 2022.
All active members will receive the club Constitution later this month along with the required “Notice of the Special General Meeting set down for Tuesday 28th October.
The new Act requires us to provide 20 Working days’ notice of the Special General Meeting.
The actual constitution requires us to place our club’s name, the address of the club, the New Zealand Business Number, the Incorporated Societies number and the contact person for the club (normally the club secretary).
I invite as many of our Honorary members as possible to attend an informal chat regarding the upcoming Centennial of our club in late 2027. The evening is to gain an idea from honorary members (as they are our connection to the past) as to what they envisage should happen at a Centennial celebration?
I have booked the middle room at the Town and Country club for this chat, starting at 7pm on Tuesday 7th October, all active and honorary members are welcome to attend this sharing of ideas.
If anyone wants to have a meal prior to this chat, please feel free to come along earlier and order a meal from the T & C restaurant menus.
