Gary Dobbs Resignation

The Directors have received notification of the resignation of Gary Dobbs. Gary’s resignation was accepted with regret.
A letter has been sent to Gary on behalf of all members thanking him for his contribution to our club, particularly his very capable management of the club finances in his role of club treasurer, a position he held for a number of years.
Keith Bartholomew is kindly filling in as Treasurer until a permanent replacement is appointed.

Guess Who Is Coming To Dinner

Twenty-four members have indicated that they want to take part in Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner . The four hosts have been notified - 3 groups will go on May 24th and one group on June 9th. This allows for those going travelling to take part. The hosts will provide the main course and Gilly will ring the guests to ascertain whether you’d like to bring either the entree or the dessert. This will be a night to look forward to.

RJ & CF Moyes Trust Donation

The RJ & CF Moyes Trust recently donated $5000.00 to the "Timaru Technology Education Centre" in Grey Road for the purchase of a "X - Carve 3D Printer."
We have now received the following letter from Ian Poulter of Bluestone School (governing body for the centre).

Ian's letter read:-

"Anne Carnie
Chairperson of RJ and CF Moyes Trust
Rotary Club of Timaru Incorporated
PO BOX 78
TIMARU 7950

Dear Anne

Bluestone School (governing the Timaru Technology Education Centre) acknowledges your generosity in funding an x-carve 3D machine.

This equipment will be well used by the Year 7 and 8 students who attend the Technology Centre from across our district.

Once the equipment is up and running, Ian Fettes, Centre Manager will be in contact with you to offer an opportunity for your members to share how the machine assists with their design and build.

Thank you again as such support is appreciated by the students and by our wider community.

Yours sincerely
Ian Poulter
