President Andrea's Message .
As I sit in the window at work watching the world go by, I'm reminded of the weeks of holiday I managed to fit in. What a wonderful relaxing time. Filled with lots of fun and laughter and more importantly for me , sleep.
The new year will bring much for us as a club. We have a year to be filled with lots if fun and fellowship. We need to find those projects to support and enhance our community.
So here is my challenge to you,
Can everyone think hard, look around you. What can we as a group do to help others.
If everyone can come up with an idea I'm sure will find that special project to get behind.
I look forward to meeting you all again next week and to hear your Xmas adventures.

Club night. Members give their ideas/suggestions to the Committees for their programmes for the year ahead.
Notice Of First Part Of A.G.M.
Be advised that the first part of our A.G.M. will be held at our 4th December tea meeting at which time the following will be discussed and voted on:-
President 2018-19: Current President Elect (Bev) will be proposed for the role.
President elect 2018-19 (usually to go on to be President 2019-2020).
Two elected directors to replace retiring elected directors: Directors hold office for 2 years.
That the AGM will be adjourned, and resume in June to:
Receive and adopt the annual reports.
Set the subscription for the coming year.
The Recommendations of the Nominations Committee will be circulated after their meeting on Tuesday 27th November by email.
New Constitution & By Laws.
The 'Constitution and By Laws Committee' are near completing the draft of the By Laws and will circulating the draft to all members in the next day or two. The drafts will be presented to club members at the first part of the AGM on Dec 4th for adoption.
This includes the change to only appointing two Directors for the new Rotary year 2019/ 2020.
A Date To Remember - 11th December.
Tuesday the 11th December is our final meeting for the year so of course that means it is our Christmas party. The social committee is busy planning the occasion and more details will be in next weeks bulletin.
Duty Roster Attendance.
It is important (as noted under the "Duty Roster" on the left) that if your name is listed that you organise for someone to do your duty on the night (if you are not attending on the night or you are to be late) as often it is falling to members who are there early in the evening to do the duties (otherwise they are being done later on before the meeting - when those on duty have no appeared). By clicking on the link (under 'Duties Roster") it is possible to see the "full" list showing when you are due to be on well in advance to give you plenty of time to organise (swap) with someone.

An application has been received from Emma Woodings (a lawyer employed at Aoraki Legal) to become a member of our club.
Another Morning Of Kindling Chopping & Firewood Cutting.
On Saturday morning there was an excellent turnout (consisting of Paul, Stephen, Jenny & Basil, Jim, Tony, Jess, Dick, Bev., Colin, Lance, Bruce Wilson, Bruce Fraser & Ashley Milliken) for our last kindling chopping & wood cutting for 2018. A good time was had by all with jam & creamed pikelets from Jenny & Basil, fruit loaf & sandwiches for morning tea.

Recently through Foundation we donated NZD4542.00 being one years salary for CITC sponsored teacher Phambi Rai - find out more ....
